Supervision and Mentoring

Overview

Supervision has been a cornerstone of clinical training and a key strategy for monitoring and ensuring the quality of services delivered in behavioral health organizations.  There are concerns in the field that the provision of supervision has eroded due to cost pressures on service organizations.  Other concerns focus on the lack of clarity about the competencies involved in providing supervision and the absence of training for individuals as they become supervisors
